How to Trade

1. Register to open your account.

2. $10,000 "DaVinci Dollars" will be deposited to your account here at DaVinciTrade.net. All references at the web site to money, funds, currency, dollars and fees are "play" money, not real currency or real funds.

3. Choose your markets of interest.

4. Each Market will have a prediction to which you can agree (buy YES shares) or disagree (buy NO shares).

Cost of Shares

The beginning and ongoing price of shares in all DaVinciTrade Markets is determined by you and your fellow members. It starts with the purchase of both the very first YES and NO share in a newly posted Market.

Just like in the stock market the cost of a share is determined by the price willing to be paid to buy it by the member. As soon as one Yes share is countered by another member purchasing a NO share in the same Market, a trade has occurred.

Depending on the amount paid... a resulting Yes Probability Percentage is established automatically. Subsequently, as trading continues in a Market, the share price of members buying and selling shares to each other and the purchase of "new" shares will change the price of those new trades as in any stock market. As a result the Probability Percentage will also typically go up and down effected by those new prices paid for shares. However, remember, that unless you sell your owned shares to another member at a price different than what you paid, your owned shares price you paid for them remains unchanged until expiry.

Example 1: 40% Yes Probability..... means that recent trading in that Market between members resulted because one member paid $4.00 for YES shares and another member bought NO shares at $4.00.

Note: In the example above the member purchasing the NO shares will have escrowed from his/her account $6.00 until the NO shares are sold or until Expiry of that Market. The cost of No shares is always the difference between the price of YES shares and $10.00.

Example 2: 70% Yes Probability..... In this case the member purchasing Yes shares will pay $7.00 per share and the member purchasing NO shares will buy at $7.00 also but will only have $3.00 per share escrowed from his account.

Note: Notice that depending on the Yes Probability Percentage when it is below 50% the NO shares will have a higher amount of funds escrowed. When it is above 50%, the NO shares purchaser will have less funds escrowed. As it turns out, the share holder with the "advantage" in percentage of likelyhood that the prediction will turn out in his/her favor has more funds escrowed then the purchaser of shares whose odds are less likely to their favor.

Expiry Payout

When the market expires, the member holding the shares in agreement with the "result" is paid $10.00 for each share still owned, regardless of what he paid for the share.

Trading Suggestions

This process really is as easy as it appears. You can buy and sell shares at anytime until your chosen Predictions Market expires. Just like the stock market, the price of new shares or the price you sell owned shares for may go up or down determined by the back and forth trading of shares by the members. You never have to sell owned shares at a loss, you can always keep your shares till expiry.

Put your wits against others. Use your knowledge, instinct, research and timing to decide when to buy, when to sell, and when to just hang on to your shares until your market expires.

Use the internet, news media, dependable friends and family and good common sense to buy and sell in the predictions markets here at DaVinciTrade. Unlike games of raw chance, trading in prediction markets contains the elements of intelligence, market history, market research and the power of crowds to more accurately predict uncertain events.
